The Good News House began with a vision and a trailer. One man—Pastor T—decided to answer God’s call and start a ministry grounded in the life-changing power of the Gospel. From those humble beginnings in Charlotte, NC, the church quickly grew into a community where faith came alive, and lives were transformed.
In time, that small gathering grew into a thriving church family known as The Branch. For years, Pastor T led with passion and humility, welcoming people from all walks of life into a space where they could find healing, truth, and hope.
But then, God led him into what Pastor T calls “the backside of the mountain”—a quiet season of traveling, refining, and learning. Through years on the road, working in pest control, fiber optics, and more, Pastor T never stopped ministering. Every knock, every sale, every handshake became an opportunity to share one thing: the Good News still works.
Now based in Atlanta, Georgia, The Good News House is being rebirthed—not in a building, but in hearts, homes, and screens across the country.
We believe church isn’t just a place you go.
It’s who you are. It’s what you carry. It’s the love you share.
Tommy Long Jr.—widely known as Pastor T—is more than a preacher. He’s a son, a servant, a leader, and a messenger of hope. Raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, in a home steeped in faith and service, he learned early on what it meant to live for something greater than himself.
The son of Pastor Tommy Long Sr. and Joyce Long, Pastor T inherited not just a legacy of ministry but a passion for people. After graduating from Deep Creek High School, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Norfolk State University, focusing on Social Work—a foundation that has shaped his ministry and outreach ever since.
From the pulpit to the pavement, Pastor T’s calling has never changed:
To bring encouragement to the discouraged, faith to the faithless, and hope to the hopeless.
He founded The Good News House in Charlotte, NC, starting with nothing but faith and a double-wide trailer. Over the years, he pastored faithfully, poured into his community, and grew a church that touched lives one by one. Then, in a surprising turn, he stepped into a new season—traveling the country in door-to-door sales, using every knock as a chance to speak life, pray, and plant seeds of faith.
Whether he’s leading a church or leading a team, one thing remains true:
Pastor T shows up—for people, for purpose, and for the Gospel.

The mission of The Good News House is simple but powerful:
To make Jesus known through everyday encounters.
That might look like a bold message on a hoodie: “Ask Me What the Good News Is.”
It might be a cup of coffee shared with a stranger.
It might be a prayer in a grocery store parking lot.
Or it might be a powerful message on YouTube that hits you right when you need it most.
We’re here to meet people where they are—online, on the street, or in their toughest moment—and offer something real.
🕊️ Real people. Real stories. Real transformation.
This is a community built not on perfection, but on purpose.
Because everyone deserves to hear the Good News—and it starts with you.
Tune in to Pastor T’s latest messages, encouragements, and moments of truth. You never know which word might shift your entire day.

We’re building a family of believers, seekers, question-askers, and faith-walkers.

If you’re full of fire, we’ll run with you.
If you’re hanging on by a thread—we’ll hold the rope.
